Rachael specialises in all areas of family
law. She is happy to discuss the merits
of a case initially over the telephone or
email and welcomes instructions to advise
in writing or in conference. Her areas of
practice include the following:
Finance and
Divorce
Rachael has a particular interest in matrimonial
and civil partnership finance. She has experience
in cases involving large or complex pensions,
businesses, land and intervening third party
interests. She undertakes cases involving
disputes between cohabitees and co-owners
and will accept instructions in applications
under schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989
and Inheritance Act claims. Rachael also
has experience of dealing with jurisdictional
and other matters in relation to marriage
and divorce.
Children
In private law, Rachael has considerable
experience representing clients in cases
involving the removal of children from the
jurisdiction and applications for residence
and contact, including fact-finding hearings
involving serious physical and sexual abuse.
Rachael accepts instructions on behalf of
all parties in applications for care orders.
She has experience dealing with issues involving
neglect, physical and sexual abuse, substance
misuse and mental health problems.
Rachael is a member of the FLBA.
Interests
In her spare time, Rachael enjoys long-distance
running, trekking, snowboarding, travelling
and cooking.
