Practice
His practice is divided between family
law, both private and public law cases,
employment and civil common law matters
including personal injury, professional
negligence, landlord and tenant, contractual
disputes and commercial matters. He practises
on the south coast in Southampton, Bournemouth,
Portsmouth and surrounding areas as well
as regularly practising in London.
Civil and commercial
matters
He lectured extensively on personal and
corporate insolvency, shipping, carriage
of goods and related contractual matters
on professional courses, particularly in
respect of agency law. He is widely experienced
in commercial matters of this nature. He
regularly deals with commercial disputes
as well as consumer actions both involving
consumer credit and stand alone matters,
and landlord and tenant matters. He is also
widely experienced in personal injury and
clinical negligence. He has advised extensively
on liability and quantum on matters ranging
from the most minor to the most serious
injuries and Fatal Accident Act Claims.
Interests
He is often to be found in his favourite
habitat of a muddy field on a winter Saturday
afternoon at the bottom of a ruck or scrum
wondering about the meaning of life at the
bar, and more importantly, where on earth
the ball has gone as he plays rugby while
the body holds out, and is currently skipper
of one of the (more) senior sides at Trojans
Rugby Club in Southampton.
He plays the slightly more refined activity
of tennis, and is a member of the Hampshire
Tennis and Health club in Southampton.
