Beresford is a specialist family practitioner.
Beresford has a busy practice, regularly appearing at the Family Proceedings and County Courts in Bournemouth, Salisbury, Portsmouth, Weymouth and Southampton, as well as the High Court.
He is experienced in childcare cases and in contact and residence applications, acting for parents, guardians and local authorities. More often than not, these involve difficult and sensitive matters, including allegations of significant abuse and/or neglect. He also has experience conducting cases involving international law matters, including child abduction and recognition and enforcement of judgments.
Beresford also conducts ancillary relief cases.
Away from Chambers, Beresford enjoys independent travel and skiing.
