Areas of Work - Civil
We have an established expertise in a wide range of civil litigation from County Court claims to complex High Court matters. We accept instructions in private and publicly funded matters and are open for consideration for cases on Conditional Fee Agreements.
The areas of work undertaken by our Civil Team include:
- Personal injury (both Claimant & Defence work), over a wide range from fatal accident and tetraplegia cases, to minor RTA cases and infant settlements
- Industrial injuries, including asbestosis and mesothelioma cases
- Professional negligence and clinical disputes
- Nuisance, negligence and torts generally
- Contractual disputes, sale of goods and commercial cases
- Real property and conveyancing disputes, boundaries and easements
- Landlord and tenant (commercial & residential) and Housing
- Wills, intestacy and trusts and family provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975
- Injunctions, including Mareva-style freezing injnuctions
- Insolvency (personal & corporate)
- Company law and partnerships
- Yachting and harbours
We also undertake Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustee Act cases, work relating to contracts of employment and restraint of trade clauses regularly, although these areas may also fall within the remit of the Family and Employment Teams.
